Regent Los Angeles Marquee for starRo Feb 8, 2017 starro, grammy, regent theatre

The Regent Theatre played host to a celebration for starRo’s Grammy nomination.

Over 500 people came out and danced the night away in celebration of starRo’s Grammy nomination.  Held at the Regent Theatre in Los Angeles, the event was a co-production behind Spaceland LA, the folks at the Regent, and the brain children of the D.A.N.C.E. Blog Haus Night’s L’Affaire Musicale and Orlove Entertainment.
A number of special guests made it out for the night including Mark Redito, Kyle Deon, Venessa Michaels, the Silver Lake Chorus, and frequent collaborator, Jarrell Perry, who provided a rousing rendition of Alliyah’s At Your Best (You Are Love).
starRo came out from behind his gear and addressed the crowd, expressing his sentiments on being from Japan and the hardships it took to get to where he is now both as an immigrant and as a musician.  “I had to sell all my gear,” he stated “just to live here and find my dream.”  He ended with a rousing, “Let us all come together and REALLY make America great again…”
He closed the night with one of our personal favorite starRo remixes… Rhianna’s Bitch Better Have My Money.  Peep the DL link below and remember to show your support Grammy weekend!
