The Simpsons celebrates its 600th episode with a 1 hr special entitled The Great Phatsby featuring a score by Grammy and Emmy nominated producer, Jim Beanz.

This Sunday, January 15, Jim Beanz takes his Grammy and Emmy nominated production sound from Empire for a spin on the 600th episode of The Simpsons with their one hour special entitled The Great Phatsby.  In celebration of the episode, we’ve been graced with a preview of the sounds to come.  (Click the headphones above to peep a stream of the remixed theme song…)
Beanz musical touch extends past the remix of the Simpsons’ theme song linked above.  “Jim Beanz produced more original music than any guest composer or producer I’ve ever worked with at The Simpsons.”  Matt Selman, Executive Producer The Simpsons, continues “We felt guilty about how much we asked him to do!”
Selman and the executive staff with The Simpsons confidence in Beanz and his work should not come as a surprise.  Beanz spent time under the wing of Timbaland and has produced for a who’s who of stars including Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Duran Duran, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, and Jamie Foxx.  His work on Empire saw his work debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 as well as both Grammy and Emmy nominations.
Be sure to check out the 600th episode of The Simpsons this Sunday, January 15th.  If the remix he’s provided above for the theme song of The Simpsons is any indication, we are all in for a treat…
