Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite Announced Alongside MVC3 Re-release
Weeks of rumors have been dispelled with the announcement of Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite today at the Playstation Experience in Anaheim, California.
Announced this morning (alongside one mega hangover), PS Experience goers were dosed with a number of Capcom treats. Not only was Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite released, eschewing the rumored ‘4’ nomenclature, but a re-release of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was announced. MVC3 will be made available today for those that can actually get on the Playstation Store with PC and Xbone copies to follow in March 2017, closer to the release of MVC Infinite. For fans of the Merry Marvel Mutants, MVC3’s re-release may be the last vestige of hope for those wanting to revisit the glory of a Magneto, Sentinel, (insert support player here) team, as MVC Infinite looks to move into the character territory of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite cryptic tweets from MVC Japan’s team regarding that Akuma’s reveal during November’s Capcom Cup Qualifiers would perhaps be for another game, it was also revealed that Akuma would headline the release of Street Fighter V’s Season 2 DLC characters with 5 to follow after his release on December 20th.
We as well as a many of the folks here at the Playstation Experience eagerly anticipate the gameplay release post Capcom Cup today at 6PM PST… Stay tuned for more info and video from the floor…
